Project narrative

In 2012, China National Petroleum Corporation (中国石油) (CNPC) donated USD 125,000 worth of medicine and food to Niger to help fight a malaria outbreak that followed severe flooding in areas near CNPC’s project operations. The donation was distributed in Zinder, Diffa - where supplies from the oilfield are transferred - and the capital, Niamey. In addition, CNPC restructured 10 containers to be used as classrooms in nearby villages (captured in Record ID#98186).
