Project narrative

On March 31, 2020, the Chinese government donated 100,000 rapid COVID-19 test kits to the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (MINSAP) to support the country’s pandemic response. The donation was announced at a press conference by the National Director of Epidemiology. The estimated value of the donation ($973,000 USD) is based on WHO pricing standards in line with TUFF methodology. The project is classified as ODA-like with development intent.
