The Chinese Embassy provided five separate scholarship programmes for local students applying for Bachelors and Masters studies in China directly. These scholarships include the China/UNESCO-the Great Wall Fellowship Programme; the Chinese Government Special Scholarship Programme-University Postgraduate Programme; the Chinese Government Special Scholarship Programme-Degree Orientated Program in Provinces and Autonomous Regions; and the Chinese Government Special Scholarship Programme-Cooperative Programme with Provinces and Autonomous Regions.
