Project narrative

In October 2010, a local newspaper in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea reported that China had agreed to donate a life-size wax statue of Kim Jong-sook to the DPRK as a gift. This gift would be created by the China Waxwork Museum for Great Figures, and was said to be shipped to the DPRK in December 2010. The statue was unveiled on April 24, 2012 at the International Friendship Exhibition House of the DPRK.
