Project narrative

In May 2016, the People's China Magazine Company donated an illustration of "Panda visiting Kumamon" (くまモンをお見舞いするパンダ) to the Kumamoto Prefectural Government after the April 14, 2016 earthquake that struck the region. The illustration depicts a cartoon panda handing over bamboo moss to Kumamon, the mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture, with Kumamoto Castle in the background. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
