On May 12, 2020, the Chinese Consulate General in Fukuoka donated 20,000 masks to the Fukuoka Prefectural Government for COVID-19 prevention. The masks were donates to the Chinese Consulate by the Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Alliance of Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
