Project narrative

In early January of 2013, Mozambique was hit with massive flooding, causing 2000 deaths and 45,180 evacuees. Bejiing Urban Construction Group cooperated with FIPAG, a Mozambican water company, to dispatch on-site water trucks to the FIPAG water station 60 kilometers away, which then transported clean water to people in the refuge areas. The department was able to provide 62 cubic meters of drinking water, which helped more than 1,000 affected families. In addition, the office in Mozambique purchased a large number of disinfectants, watering cans, epidemic prevention knowledge manuals and other materials and sent them to the construction site and local disaster victims to ensure timely disinfection and health. In addition, BUCG donated 300 T-shirts, 100 cold jackets and 100 sets of stationery and school bags to people in Mozambique.
