In April 2007, a syndicate of 28 banks — including the Bank of China (BOC) — signed a syndicated dual-tranche $925 million USD loan agreement with Reliance Utilities And Power Private Limited. This loan carried a maturity period of 10 years. In addition to BOC, the following lenders contributed to the loan syndicate: Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), DBS Bank, ING Group N.V., and Standard Chartered Bank.
