On January 17, 2011, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar donated 8,172 books and 216 CDs worth Ks. 448,500 MMK ($55,000 USD) to the Myanmar Rural Library Foundation. The donated books covered topics Chinese history, culture, economy, and tourism and business, language and rural development. knowledge of rural development.
