Project narrative

On March 26, 2018, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait donated a collection of 1,300 books of to the National Library of Kuwait to further cultural exchange between the two nations. The books —written in English and Arabic—range in topic, including Chinese history, culture, politics, diplomacy, and tourism. After a week of exhibition, the books were stored in the National Library and made available for borrow. On March 26, 2018, Wang Rong, Ambassador to Kuwait, attended a donation ceremony at the National Library of Kuwait Ambassador Wang, Ali Yuha, Secretary-General of the Kuwait Culture, Art and Literature Committee, and Kamel, Director of the National Library of Kuwait, jointly cut the ribbon for the exhibition. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
