Project narrative

On November 10, 2016, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka and China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) donated a total of 300 sets of pencil cases and backpacks to the Fa-Hsien GALA Sri-Lanka-China Friendship Village School in Kalutara. On November 10, Chinese Ambassador Yi Xianliang visited the school to donate the materials. During the visit, three scholarships from CMEC totaling Rs 30,000 were donated to the school (captured via Record ID#98678) Fa-Hsien GALA Sri-Lanka-China Friendship Village School is a rural school in Kalutara, 40 km south of the capital Colombo, located near the Fa-Hien caves. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
