Project narrative

On December 8, 2022, Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (an organization that is controlled by Yunnan's provincial government) donated 100 solar street lights to the Sri Lanka Ministry of Education. The lights were to be installed in 40 schools in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. The 14th China Power Construction Hydropower Bureau was charged with the procurement, transfer, installation and commissioning of the street lamps. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
