On June 11, 2015, the Chinese Embassy in Moldova donated over 700 books in Chinese to Moldova's National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga." On June 11, 2015 a donation ceremony—attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Moldova, Tong Mingtao— was held at the library. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
