Project narrative

On April 2, 2020, the city of Chatham-Kent in Ontario, Canada received 10,000 N95 masks from the city of Liyang, China. The donated masks were suitable for use by healthcare staff working with patients afflicted with COVID-19. The donation was facilitated by Randy Hope, former mayor of Chatham-Kent, who received an offer from Liyang city officials due to his pre-existing ties with the Chinese city.
