In August, 2018, the Village of Warburg's recreational newsletter announced the village's reception of a CAD 6,000 donation from Sinopec Canada Energy Ltd. (then known as Sinopec Daylight Energy Ltd.). Construction of the park began in 2018, and was completed at an unknown point before 2021.
