Project narrative

On December 23, 2021, the Chinese Government donates 8 kidney dialysis machines to unspecified hospitals in Sri Lanka's Northern and Eastern provinces. Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong symbolically handed over the donation to Sri Lankan Opposition Leader, Sajith Premadasa in a ceremony on December 23. The medical equipment was donated in response to a request made by Samagi Jana Balawegaya, leader for the party’s "Husmak" initiative. The machines are worth approximately Rs. 20 million.
