Project narrative

On March 15, 2021, the Chinese Government donated 585 sets of protective clothing and shoes covers (13 boxes), 50,000 disposable face masks (25 boxes), 9,600 KN95 face masks (10 boxes), 240 goggles (not disposable, two boxes), 1,500 pairs of disposable gloves (three boxes), and 10 SterilAmps to the Sri Lankan Customs Agency to support front line customs officers fighting against COVID-19. Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong met Sri Lanka Customs Director General Major General (Retd.) G. Vijitha Ravipriya on March 15 to hand over the donation.
