Project narrative

On October 4, 2018, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd., a Dubai-headquartered aerospace corporation and aircraft leasing company, announced that it had successfully closed a USD $800 million revolving loan facility with 11 regional and international banks including China Construction Bank Corporation (CCB). The four-year accordion credit facility, initially launched for an amount of $480 million in May 2018, achieved substantial oversubscription. The borrowing terms of the loan are unknown. The proceeds of the loan were to be used by DAE to purchase new aircraft, spare engines, and pre-delivery financing. Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait coordinated the loan deal and was also the lead arranger and joint bookrunner together with First Abu Dhabi Bank, while Noor Bank joined the deal as lead arranger. The Agricultural Bank of China's contribution to the loan is captured via Record ID#98800.
