On March 17, 2020, the Zhejiang Provincial Government dispatched a team of 12 medical experts to the Italian city of Padua to support its COVID-19 pandemic response. The experts were drawn from several hospitals in the Zhejiang Province and the Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The team's specializations included respiratory, intensive care, infectious disease and traditional Chinese medicine. They intended to share their experience with COVID-19 prevention and control with local Italian hospitals and professionals and provide treatment guidance.
