Project narrative

On March 25, 2020, China's Fujian Province dispatched a team of 14 medical experts to Italy to support its COVID-19 pandemic response. The team worked mainly in the Tuscany Region. The team came from several hospitals and the Fujian Center for Disease Prevention and Control (Fujian CDC) and also included an epidemiologist from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) and a pulmonologist from the Anhui Province of China. Their specialties included respiratory care, intensive care, infectious disease, hospital infection control, traditional Chinese medicine, and nursing. In addition to assisting Italian hospitals, the team also shared disease prevention and control knowledge with Chinese communities and students in Italy. The experts arrived with a donation of eight tons of medical supplies from Zhejiang (Record ID#98950)
