Project narrative

On March 15, 2020, the Chinese city of Harbin donated 4,000 surgical masks to its Italian sister city Noceto to aid its COVID-19 pandemic response. The masks, manufactured by Harbin Pharmaceutical Group, arrived in Noceto on March 26, 2020. Harbin and Noceto's city sister was newly established during the Harbin Ice Festival of 2020. Noceto's deputy mayor reached out to the Harbin Foreign Affairs Office on March 11 seeking assistance amidst a shortage of supplies during the COVID-19 outbreak in Italy.
