Project narrative

In late June 2013, Alberta suffered severe flooding that forced the evacuations of 75,000 people. On or around June 27, 2013, Nexen Energy ULC — a Canadian-incorporated wholly owned subsidiary of majority Chinese state-owned company CNOOC Limited — donated CAD 250,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support the flood relief efforts in southern Alberta.
