Project narrative

From December 18-19, 2022, the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences held a two-day training workshop on medicinal plant resource protection and development technology. The workshop was lectured by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experts and was attended by 50 Cambodian healthcare professionals. The workshop was designed to promote the protection and sustainable development of traditional medicine resources. Similar workshops were also held in other Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) countries. An opening ceremony was held for this workshop. Zhao Haiyan, the Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, and Slek Ann, a nurse at the Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital in Phnom Penh, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
