Project narrative

On October 25, 2006, Shanghai Library donated 445 titles and 513 copies of books to McGill University Library as part of its "Window of Shanghai" program. The faculty of McGill's East Asian Studies Department selected the books, which cover subjects including literature, culture, arts, economy, architecture, religion, and history. Additional donations of 200 volumes for the next two years were planned per the agreement between McGill University Libraries and Shanghai Library.
