Project narrative

In 2003, the City of Kunming donated $300,000 NZD to the New Plymouth City Council to help facilitate the construction of the Kunming Garden on the edge of Brooklands Park in New Plymouth, New Zealand. The donation followed the signing of a sister city agreement between Kunming and New Plymouth, with the garden later opening in 2005. The New Plymouth City Council contributed $90,000 NZD to the garden's construction.
