Project narrative

On May 23, 2005, Shanghai Library donated 900 Chinese books to Biblioteca Sormani, a public library in Milan. The handover ceremony for the books was one of the events of “The China Cultural Week of Milan—the Shanghai Day”, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the sister-city relationship between Shanghai and Milan, as well as the 20th Birthday of the Chinese Consulate General in Milan.
