Project narrative

On April 17, 2022, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced that China would provide cash assistance of USD 200,000 to the Philippines to support the Philippine government and people in their post-tropical storm disaster relief and rebuilding efforts. Tropical Storm Megi, known in the Philippines as Tropical Storm Agaton, was a weak but deadly tropical cyclone that impacted the Philippines in April 2022.
