Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In March or early April 2020, the Chinese city of Kunshan donated medical supplies to Mondragon Corporation (a company headquartered in Basque Country, Spain) to aid their COVID-19 response. The donation, which was made through the Shanghai office of the Mondragon Corporation, consisted of 50,000 masks, 5,000 pairs of gloves, and 5,000 protective suits. The chief of Qiandeng town, a part of Kunshan city, said the donation was in response to a prior donation from Mondragon Corporation to Kunshan. The governments of Kunshan and the Basque Country signed an agreement in 2010 for the creation of the Mondragon Industrial Park, which serves as a platform for investment by Spanish companies.
