Project narrative

On November 27, 2020, Dai Houliang, Chairman of SINOPEC Corporation, and Alice Garst, President of Imperial College London, jointly inaugurated a new Resource Geophysics Academy at Imperial College London during a special ceremony in Beijing. The Academy trains PhD students undertaking original research into geophysics and its applications in the hydrocarbon sector. At the inauguration, SINOPEC pledged £11,000,000 GBP to establish the Academy. So far, between £10,000,000 GBP and £10,500,000 GBP was been disbursed.
