Project narrative

On February 8, 2022, the 21st Chinese medical team to Cameroon donated a batch of nucleic acid testing equipment and protective materials to the mayor of Mbalmayo, Dieudonne Zang Mba Obele, during a farewell ceremony for the team. The supplies were donated to aid against COVID-19 and other ailments common in the region. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. The 21st Chinese medical team to Cameroon (captured in Record ID#99207) completed its service between March 26, 2021 and March 29, 2022 at the Yaounde Women's and Children's Hospital and Mbalmayo District Hospital. During their time in Cameroon, the team worked with Cameroonian officials to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, received 12,604 patients online and in-person, and trained Cameroonians in traditional Chinese medicine.
