Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On October 30, 2022, Chinese Consulate General Li Lin, Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Davao, and the Fujian Chamber of Commerce donated emergency relief supplies to flood victims in the Bangsamoro Muslim Autonomous Region, Maguindanao Province, Philippines. Regional Chief Minister Murad Ibrahim and the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Najib Sinarimbo thanked the Consul General and his delegation for delivering the urgently needed supplies (including drinking water, food, daily necessities, disinfection supplies, and other supplies) to the disaster areas. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. This donation came after Tropical Storm Nalgae, locally known as Paeng, hit the Philippines on October 29th, 2022. Many places in Mindanao suffered heavy rains, triggering floods and landslides, killing dozens of people and damaging many houses, including those in the northern part of the Bangsamoro Muslim Autonomous Region.
