Project narrative

In August 2022, the Chinese Embassy provided educational office equipment and sports supplies to the China-Uganda Friendship School in Kawanda, Sembabule District of Uganda. The purpose of the donation was to improve educational curriculum and opportunities at the school. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. Zhand Lizhong, China’s Ambassador to Uganda, Musharuli, Member of Parliament for the Sembabule District, and representatives of teachers, students, and parents of the school attended the ceremony. Kawanda’s China-Uganda Friendship School is one of the two primary schools under the eight measures of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. It was completed and officially handed over to Uganda in 2009.
