Project narrative

On December 14, 2022, Ambassador Zhang Lizhong was invited to attend the closing ceremony of the training for 40 Ugandan middle school teachers. The event was hosted by the Confucius Institute at Makerere University and the Luyangzi Institute of Technology. Approximately 150 people attended the event, including Wang Lihong and Suma, executive directors of the Yangtze Institute of Technology, and Kong Zhibo, dean of the Yangtze Institute of Technology, as well as teachers and students from the Yangtze Institute of Technology. This was the fourth batch of local teacher training in Uganda. 140 Ugandan middle school teachers have completed the training and obtained qualification to teach Chinese in local schools. The monetary value of this training is unknown.
