Project narrative

On September 17, 2018, the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and the Universitas Sebelas Maret signed an agreement to establish the Universitas Sebelas Maret; Hanban provided IDR 2.2 billion for the infrastructure and facilities of the Confucius Institute and planned to provide $100,000 USD in annual funding afterward. Xihua University was the Chinese partner institution. It was planned to open on March 11, 2018. The CI did open.
