Project narrative

On October 26, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines donated a batch of Chinese cultural items to the Philippine National Commission for Culture and the Arts during the opening ceremony of the "China-Philippines Friendship Arts Performance." At the donation ceremony, Minister Counselor Zhou Zhiyong, on behalf of Ambassador Huang Xilian, handed the pipa, a symbol of traditional Chinese musical instruments, to the Philippine National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and announced that China would subsequently donate a batch of Chinese cultural items to the Philippines to further promote the two countries' cultural exchanges and mutual understanding. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
