Project narrative

On March 23, 2020, Gansu Provincial Government donated 51,000 units of personal protective equipment (PPE) to international sister regions to include the Navarre Autonomous Region of Spain to aid their COVID-19 response. The supplies, produced in Gansu, arrived in Navarre on March 31, 2020. They consisted of 40,000 surgical masks, 5,000 medical masks, and 6,000 units of of protective clothing, with an estimated total value of €162,564 EUR (See "Navarra recibe 51.000 unidades de protección sanitaria..."). Navarre and Gansu have maintained a sister city relationship since 2005.
