Prior to April 2, 2020, Nanning Municipal Government donated 4,000 surgical masks to the local government of Murcia, Spain to aid their COVID-19 response. The donation arrived in Murcia on April 2, 2020, and would mostly be distributed to local healthcare workers. Nanning and Murcia have a bilateral agreement.
