Project narrative

On September 6, 2022, the Chinese Government donated $200,000 USD to the Federated States of Micronesia. The purpose of the donation was to support COVID-19 relief and recovery efforts. This donation was made through the FSM-China Great Friendship and followed an $18,000 USD donation prior to the community spread of COVID-19. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. The Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Affairs of Micronesia, Marcus H. Samo, and China’s Ambassador to Micronesia, Huang Zheng, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
