China donates 15,000 masks to the University of Zaragoza

Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On or before May 12, 2020, an unspecified Chinese funding agency donated 15,000 surgical masks to the University of Zaragoza to aid their resumption of teaching and research activities amidst COVID-19. As of May 12, the masks had arrived in Zaragoza, but a second package containing gloves, glasses, and protective clothing was delayed due to problems at customs. It is unclear whether this second package ever arrived. The donation was coordinated by Yi Huang, alumnus of the Spanish university and owner of a consulting company that facilitates business between Spain and China, as well as La Cátedra Devoture, an institution of the University of Zaragoza responsible for exchange and interaction with Chinese universities.
