Project narrative

On November 10, 2022, the "Guyana Youth Leadership Training Course" sponsored by the China Ministry of Commerce and hosted by Fujian Foreign Economic Cooperation Center was launched. The opening ceremony was attended by Hu Hanming, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Guyana, and Wu Zibin, Deputy Director of the Fujian Foreign Economic Cooperation Center. 17 Guyanese students from ministries and commissions, the University of Guyana, and private enterprises took part in the training. The training lasted for 21 days and was held online. The closing ceremony was held on December 1, 2022. The monetary value of the training series is unknown.
