Project narrative

On August 15, 2022, the "Guyana Bamboo Industry Sustainable Development Training Course'' was officially launched. The training is hosted by the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR), Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, and the Chinese Embassy in Guyana. The 15-day training course concluded on August 29 with a graduation ceremony. Sixty trainees graduated at the completion of the program. The monetary value of this training is unknown. A virtual launching ceremony was held for the training course. Hu Hanming, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy, attended the ceremony.
