On November 4, China held a handover ceremony of the China-aided project of solar streetlights installation in Kumbija Village, Sanchi Fafa Village and Mbahen Village in the North Bank Region of Gambia. The ceremony was held in Kumbija Village. The installation of the streetlights was funded by the Chinese embassy in Gambia. At the end of the event, the Chinese Embassy handed over household solar panel power generation systems, solar reading lights, radios and school bags to local primary school students. The contract was awarded to M.N Trading, who has installed quality and standard solar streetlights with a warranty of 24 months.
