Project narrative

On or before March 15, 2020, Lishui City donated 100,000 disposable masks to the city of Cáceres. The donation was made after discussion between the Overseas Chinese Association of Spain, the Qingtian Association of Spain, other overseas Chinese groups, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Department of Lishui City, and the Red Cross Society of Lishui City. The shipment of masks arrived in Madrid on March 15, 2020. The mayor of Cáceres sent a letter of gratitude to the Red Cross Society of Lishui on March 22, 2020, indicating that the masks would be distributed to local medical professionals. The masks arrived at the San Pedro de Alcántara Hospital in Cáceres on March 25, 2020 after delays in customs.
